Why temperature?
When tissue inside the foot becomes inflamed, the skin above it warms up — often days before you can see redness or feel soreness, and long before skin breaks down. Because both feet normally sit at a similar temperature, a difference of 2.2 °C between the same spot on each foot is a reliable early warning. That is exactly what PodiaScan measures for you every day.
Your daily minute
1. Scan six spots on each foot
Hold the thermometer to six marked spots per foot. The app tells you where to go next, in large text and out loud.
2. The app compares left with right
Each spot is matched with the same spot on your other foot. That left-right difference is the earliest warning sign there is.
3. Green means fine, red means call
A difference of 2.2 °C or more turns that spot red and, if you're linked to a clinic, tells them the same day.

PodiaScan supports your foot care — it does not replace it. If you notice broken skin, spreading redness, swelling, discharge or a bad smell, contact your clinic or doctor urgently, whatever the app says.
Common questions
Do I need a special thermometer?⌄
Any handheld infrared skin thermometer works. PodiaScan can pair with Bluetooth models, or you can simply type each reading in as you go.
What if my clinic doesn't use PodiaScan?⌄
You can still use it on your own with PodiaScan Plus. Your readings and 90-day history are yours, and you can link a clinic later by entering their registration code.
Is my health data private?⌄
Yes. Your readings are stored in the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest, and only visible to you and the clinic you choose to link with.
