Terms of Use
Last updated 16 August 2026
These terms govern access to and use of PodiaScan by clinics and their clinical staff. By signing in you accept them on behalf of yourself and your clinic.
1. The service
PodiaScan records six plantar temperature zones per foot, calculates contralateral differences and flags zones where the difference reaches the configured thresholds. It is provided by GD Consultants, Greystones, Ireland.
2. Clinical responsibility
PodiaScan is a decision-support and record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose, and its alerts do not replace clinical judgement, examination or the manufacturer's instructions for the thermometer in use. All clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating clinician. Do not rely on PodiaScan in an emergency.
3. Accounts and access
- Accounts are personal; credentials must not be shared.
- Clinics are responsible for granting and removing staff access promptly.
- You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to access data belonging to another clinic;
- upload unlawful content or data you have no authority to process;
- probe, scan, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service;
- use the service to build a competing product or resell access without agreement.
5. Your data
Your clinic keeps ownership of the patient records it enters. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process and display that data so the service can function. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Data Protection Policy.
6. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but the service is provided on an "as available" basis and may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or events outside our control. Clinics should keep their own clinical record-keeping arrangements.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from clinical decisions made using the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend access where use breaches these terms or threatens the security of the service. On termination, clinics may request export or deletion of their records.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction.
