Trust & Corporate Allow-list

Last updated 16 August 2026

Information for IT, security and compliance teams reviewing PodiaScan. If the site has been blocked by a corporate firewall or web filter, the details below should help you allow-list or recategorise it.

1. What PodiaScan is

PodiaScan is a healthcare web application for diabetic foot temperature monitoring. It is used by foot-care clinics and by patients at home to record plantar temperatures across six zones on each foot, track trends, and flag possible inflammation early.

The service is operated by GD Consultants, Greystones, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. It does not host gambling, adult, social-media or entertainment content. All clinical data is scoped to the clinic that created it and is protected by authentication and row-level security.

2. Why a filter might block this site

The domain was registered recently and the site is still building its public reputation and search presence. Some corporate web filters block or hold newly seen domains until a human categorises them.

In addition, the product name contains the word "scan", which can trigger crude heuristic filters that associate the term with vulnerability scanners or malware scanners rather than clinical foot screening.

Finally, PodiaScan is a progressive web app (PWA). It uses a web app manifest and is served through Cloudflare with standard bot-management headers. Conservative proxies sometimes treat these signals as unknown or uncategorised traffic.

3. Domain and infrastructure details for allow-listing

  • Primary domain: podiascan.com
  • Canonical origin: https://podiascan.com
  • Current A record: 185.158.133.1
  • SSL certificate: Google Trust Services, WE1, issued for CN=podiascan.com
  • Hosting: Google application platform with Cloudflare edge
  • Database/auth/email: Google Cloud (managed Supabase) and Stripe for billing

IP addresses and certificate details can change over time. If your policy requires long-lived entries, allow-list the domain name rather than the IP.

4. Security posture

  • HTTPS enforced with HSTS (max-age 31536000, includeSubDomains).
  • X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff.
  • Referrer-Policy: strict-origin-when-cross-origin.
  • Authentication required for all clinical data; row-level security enforces clinic scoping at the database level.
  • Patient health data is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

5. Requesting recategorisation

If your corporate filter vendor (for example Cisco Umbrella, Palo Alto URL Filtering, FortiGuard, Symantec/Broadcom, or McAfee Web Gateway) is blocking the site, the fastest fix is usually to submit the domain for recategorisation as Health / Medicine / Healthcare IT through that vendor's portal.

If you need a contact email for your IT ticket: support@podiascan.com. Please include the exact block message, the URL that was blocked, and the name of the filtering vendor so we can follow up directly.

6. Important note on the name PodiaScan

The name "PodiaScan" is also used by an unrelated Indian medical-device company (Diabetik Foot Care India Private Limited) that sells plantar pressure-measurement equipment. This Irish/European service is separate: it records temperatures, not pressure, and is operated by GD Consultants from Greystones, Ireland.

If your filter is using reputation data tied to the Indian product, please point it at this domain specifically and request categorisation as a healthcare IT service.
